From Futura’s point of view, the PC POS system is a workstation with additional hardware equipment such as receipt printer, scanner and card terminal, but which can also fulfil additional tasks in the field of retail management, customer order processing and branch management.
This also includes viewing branch-wide stock level information, product pictures, registration of staff working hours, customer reference data maintenance, stock-taking, registration of incoming goods or goods requests, branch prices, statistical analyses, etc.
ASP - Application Service Providing – on the Internet with the PC POS!
In an ASP configuration, all decentralized users (sales branch, logistic centre) access the central database via the World Wide Web – the Internet. Immediately after every sales transaction, the head office has up-to-date data and makes them available to decision makers such as Purchasing, Merchandising and Controlling.
Futura is used in several European countries and is thus available in six languages: German, English, French, Dutch, Italian and Spanish, more will follow.
